Baobab

Baobab is obtained from the fruit of the baobab tree in Africa. Because of its many uses and applications in traditional medicine, the baobab tree is called the apothecary tree in Africa. Baobab is very popular in Africa and is one of the everyday foods. The light green baobab fruit grows to about the size of a coconut. It contains up to 200 fat-rich seeds that can be eaten, just like the flesh of the fruit. The powder extracted from the fruit has a fruity, slightly acidic taste and is excellent in smoothies, salads, juices and desserts.
