Brahmi
The plant from the fat leaf genus grows mainly in tropical and subtropical regions. The plant received its botanical name (Bacopa Monnieri) from the botanist Louis Guillaume Le Monnier. Brahmi is also known as small fat leaf. The herbaceous plant survives for several years and bears white flowers throughout the summer. Especially the leaves contain a number of valuable ingredients, such as various flavonoids, saponins, phytosterols and triterpenes. In addition, brahmi contains the alkaloid brahmin.
