Fennel
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) is a vegetable plant that is now common all over the world. An old German name for fennel is Köppernickel. The fennel bulb is white to greenish and is a so-called false bulb. The vegetable is very popular in Italian cuisine and originally comes from the Mediterranean region and Asia. Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) has a nice spicy and slightly sweet taste. Aniseed-fennel-cumin tea is a very popular herbal tea blend. Aniseed (Pimpinella anisum) is a very characteristic spice with a sweet aroma that is strongly reminiscent of liquorice. Caraway (Carum carvi) is strong, slightly spicy and also sweet. The combination of these three special ingredients results in a very special tea that is harmonious and balanced in taste.
