Coriander
Coriander has been known for centuries as an herb and spice in the Mediterranean region. For example, coriander seeds were found in Egypt as grave goods in pre-Christian tombs. It has experienced a real renaissance in recent years due to the success of Asian cuisine, which particularly appreciates coriander and its sweet spiciness. Coriander is also known and used in herbal medicine.
Ground coriander is characterised by a spicy aroma with a wonderfully sweet aftertaste. A "must" in Asian and Indian cuisine.
