Marigold
The marigold (Calendula officinalis), also known as garden marigold, belongs to the family of composite plants. Originally from the Mediterranean region, the marigold is an annual herbaceous plant. The flowers of the flower shine orange-yellow and sprout in the summer months. The name of the marigold is derived from the colourful petals - because as the colourful flowers dry, they "curl". The plant is mainly cultivated in Germany and the Netherlands.
