Shiitake
Shiitake is probably one of the best-known Chinese mushrooms. The name means mushroom (take) that grows on the pasania tree (shii). For thousands of years, the shiitake mushroom has been used in China and Japan as an edible mushroom and for other purposes. After the mushroom, it is the most commonly cultivated edible mushroom in the world. In German it is also called Pasania mushroom.
