Burdock root (Arcitum lappa) belongs to the daisy family. Burdock is a biennial plant with a root that can be up to one meter long. At first glance, however, what is particularly captivating are its large leaves, which can have a diameter of half a meter. The plant grows throughout Europe and Asia and can also be found in Germany. The herb is particularly easy to recognize because it sticks to clothes and is difficult to remove.
